   Happy Teacher's Day No informative blog today. This time we write about the great times on teacher’s day, since it was on Saturday we celebrated on Friday. On 4/9/20 we celebrated teacher’s day online! Everyone had come with songs, ppt cards, videos and many more for all our beloved teachers, but since some of our teachers did not have periods with us so we would show them when we had a period with. “A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.”. We love teachers everywhere and we hope you have a great day! This is what I think of teachers they are too kind and too funny but when time is right they are strict but no matter what we still love all of our teachers.   Dinosaur Taxonomy In today’s blog, we dig deeper into the dinosaur taxonomy there are a lot of other classifications other than Saurischian and Ornithischian, but this time we will describe how dinos from these classifications will look(you can only see Saurischian and Ornithischian in fossils in other words bones). This will also have carnivore and herbivore portrayal. Saurischian Saurischian means lizard-hipped in this their pubis bone in the hips point forward. Examples of Saurischians are often in the category of therapods and sauropods, a definite example is the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Ornithischian Ornithischian means bird-hipped in this their pubis bone points backwards like modern-day birds, so its basically the inverse of Saurischian, the irony is that today’s birds are actually close relatives of the Saurischians.   Intro to Dinosaurs We all know about the amazing dinosaurs, they capture our imaginations. These creatures are colossal, magnificent creatures, their behavior intrigues us but since this is an intro we won’t dig too deep into the lives of these creatures, before we start this is a must-know fact, the word dinosaur means terrible lizard this definition was given by Sir Richard Owen. So we have a simple dino classification, it’s based on the type of their hips, on one hand, we have the Ornithischian meaning bird-hipped and on the other, we have the Saurischian meaning reptile-hipped. Now, this era in which the dinos lived in was called the Mesozoic Era this era lasted from 251 million years ago to 65 million years ago, this era is divided into 3 different periods the Triassic, Jurassic, and last but not least the Cretaceous, we also had 2 different eras before the dinosaurs The Precambrian Time and the Paleozoic Era.
